Ever had that really painful experience of trying to explain something to someone who will never ever understand the topic but will do their damn best to try?
it usually involves old people and technology.

Trying to explain the tablet to relatives….

Mum (my mother of all people, who has seen me use it forever): so if you can draw, how do you erase?
Me:………………………………………………………………………………i don’t think there’s a polite way to express my shock….

(a very technical illustration)

…Would a fast food place say “please come inside to avail of our specials”. It would be generous if I said 80% of America doesnt know what avail means.

So I’ve been meaning to update for the longest time but…ehehe. Yeah. Anyways, Ireland is wet. Wet and rocky. Lots of famiry about. All of them seem to be leaving for France during our stay, which makes you wonder. Maybe we smell.

I think school is haunting me, however. I keep seeing people around that look like people from school…and not the ones I ever want to see again. And I dreamed of Hale last night -shiver-.

I finally brought out my tablet yesterday…and promptly remembered why i don’t ever use it. Here, meet Jenoa:

Arrggghhh

…one day I will figure out how to make the picture show up. HA, got it.
Anyways, she is a pirate. Named after some sailing bits and pieces, but then I realized I had spelled it wrong and Jenoa is actually a name. Woops. My Jenoa’s cooler anyways.

(Also, an Irish accent will one day be mine -shakes fist-)

Balls. I’m in Virginia, supposedly getting a good nights sleep after not sleeping for 2 nights in a row and then some long plane rides….but I cant. Bugs. Everywhere. Dive bombing me. And other strange noises, but we dont talk about those. There goes one of those damn bugs again. As for the title of this post, I have only recently returned victorious from a very intense battle with a strange green bug. I have no doubts, however, that the war is still to be waged.

So now here I am, all the lights in this room on, playing random music to distract myself. The only sleep I will be having is when Seattle reaches 12 and i am left without any msn companions, or I simply keel over in exhaustion. The later would be much preferable, though highly improbable.

What does one do in the middle of the night, practically nailed to the bunk bed, cowering from bugs?

Day one, Virginia, 11:11pm seattle time (make a wish), over and out.
